Although this pink substance is generally not very dangerous. If it does not come into contact with the eyes or open wounds, doctors warn that it  should “still be avoided”. Especially for those with weakened immune systems or those who come into contact with this substance. As they may be at risk of intestinal, bladder or respiratory infections, especially those with pre-existing health problems.

It also warns that if your home has enough moisture to cause this pink substance to form. It could mean mold growth, which could cause breathing problems or allergies. And if it’s black mold, its spores can cause serious health problems, such as respiratory illnesses.

The doctor also recommends simple ways to prevent the growth of this bacteria in the bathroom. Including keeping the bathroom dry and well-ventilated. Turning on a fan or window after showering to reduce humidity, cleaning and disinfecting the bathroom regularly. Just this can help prevent the growth of bacteria and mold in the bathroom!
